Professor Jon Wadsley, a Clinical Oncologist since 2004 at Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield, specialises in thyroid cancer, neuroendocrine tumours, and pancreatic/biliary tract cancers. He's deeply engaged in molecular radiotherapy and conducts research centred on thyroid cancer and neuroendocrine tumours. Notably, he serves on the NCRI Thyroid Cancer Subgroup and holds key roles as Clinical Director at the Sheffield Cancer Clinical Trials Centre, Cancer Specialty Lead for Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Research Network, and NIHR National Specialty Lead for Radiotherapy and Imaging.
Aylin Hanyaloglu

Prof. Aylin Hanyaloglu has been a Principal Investigator at Imperial College London since 2007. She received her BSc in Human Biology from King’s College London in 1997, and while her Ph.D. commenced at the MRC Human Reproductive Sciences Centre, Edinburgh, a move to Perth, Australia, resulted in her Ph.D. in Molecular Endocrinology being awarded in 2002 with Distinction from the University of Western Australia. Prof. Hanyaloglu undertook her postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco, with Professor Mark von Zastrow, where she identified novel core cellular machinery critical for G protein-coupled receptor trafficking and signalling.
Her research focuses on understanding the fundamental cell biological mechanisms regulating GPCR activity, including spatial control of GPCR signalling and receptor crosstalk, and applying these mechanisms for distinct GPCRs with particular focus on women's health, pregnancy, and nutrient sensing in the gut. Her work is currently funded by Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), Diabetes UK, Wellcome Trust, and the Medical Research Council.
Neil Sharma

Neil Sharma is a Consultant Head and Neck/Thyroid Surgeon at University Hospital Birmingham. He has a high volume complex thyroid surgical practice, specialising in thyroid cancer, complex thyrotoxicosis, retrosternal thyroid disease and revision thyroid surgery. He leads the thyroid cancer service and runs the Midlands Genetic Thyroid Oncology Clinic. He also operates at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, working alongside paediatric otolaryngologists treating children with thyroid and parathyroid disease. He has lectured and published widely on thyroid disease, and sits on the executive board of the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons.
